 An iris has a special meening on this day. We also take a special bath on this day, Shoubu-yu "Iris-bath". We put iris leaves in the bath to keep evil away as the iris leaves is believed to have special power.

 In the long history of samurai society,yoroi(armor)and kabuto(helmet)are very important. As they have an important function to protect the body ,at present yoroi and kabuto are set out to respect this spirit.
