@For more than 1000 years, Kyoto was the Japanese capital, selected by the Emperor Kanmu in 794.
Heian-jingu Shrine was founded in 1895, memorialized the capital continue for 1100 years in Kyoto. 2005 is the 1200th year after the Emperor Kanmu died.
