National Foundation Day

Japanese Here

February 11 is "National Foundation Day". This day is a day according to the myth of Japan assumed that the first emperor Jinmu ascended the throne in B.C. 660.
It can be said that it is not the one based on the historical fact like Independence Day of the United States , but a mere symbol of founding a country. By the way, the stamps used for the background is a memorial one of visiting the Kashihara Jingu Shrine in 1940. 1940 is the 2600th year from accession to the throne of the above-mentioned emperor Jinmu . 1.25 million person had visited Kashihara Jingu Shrine at the New Year of this year. It seemed to reach at 20 times of the previous years, and to have recorded the height since creation. (Recently, about 700,000 person . ) Thus, I introduce clay bells of Kashihara Jingu Shrine this month.
