The 3rd Manekineko festival in Kurashiki

Japanese Here

The 3rd Maneki Neko festival in Kurashiki, is held in October. In this festival, there are many types of Maneki Neko, such as Hariko (papier-maches), clay bells, clay dolls, etc. A Maneki Neko, beckoning cat, is also known as Welcoming Cat, Lucky Cat, Money cat or Fortune Cat. It is believed to bring good luck to the owner. In the design of the Maneki Neko, a raised right paw supposedly attracts money, while a raised left paw attracts customers.
