@There are three big festivals in Kyoto, Gion matsuri festival, Jidai matsuri festival and Aoi matsuri festival. The Aoi matsuri festival is celebrated on 15th May in every year by Kamigamo jinja shrine and Shimogamo jinja shrine. It started in late stage of tumulus period and it is not only a festival but a spectator event. @ |
